1. Our approach to privacy

KIDSa2z helps parents and guardians organize a child's educational records. Because we handle information about children, we treat privacy as a first-class responsibility. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and account type when you sign up.
• Child information you provide — the documents, report cards, certificates, achievements, photos, and notes you choose to upload about a child, and the structured data extracted from them.
• Usage and device information — basic technical data such as app version and interactions, used to operate and improve the Service.
• Consent records — the version of the Terms and Privacy Policy you accepted, the time, and your IP address and browser/device, kept as an audit trail.

3. How we use information

• To provide the Service — store your uploads, extract structured data, and build the timeline, insights, and answers you see.
• To operate your account, process subscriptions, and provide support.
• To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
• To meet legal obligations, including maintaining consent records.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use a child's information to build advertising profiles or serve ads.

4. AI processing

To read documents and generate insights, we use trusted AI processors. Only the content needed to answer your request is sent for processing, it is used solely to return a result to you, and it is not used to train third-party advertising systems. Any peer comparisons shown in the Service use anonymized, aggregated data and never reveal another child's identity.

5. How information is shared

We share information only with service providers who help us run KIDSa2z (for example, cloud hosting, database, and AI processing), strictly to provide the Service and under confidentiality obligations. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users. We never sell your data.

6. Children's data and guardian consent

We collect a child's information only from a parent, guardian, or authorized caregiver who confirms they are authorized to provide it. That information is used solely to provide the Service to you, the caregiver. You can review, export, or delete it at any time.

7. Storage, security, and location

Your data is stored on secured infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is restricted. Document files are kept in private storage reachable only through short-lived, signed links. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we take strong measures to protect your information.

8. Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete individual records and documents at any time, and request account deletion. After deletion, data is removed from active systems; consent records may be retained where required for legal and audit purposes.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise these in the app or by contacting us.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. When we make material changes, we will update the version and effective date and ask you to review and accept the new version before you continue using the Service.
